The Maverick versus the Allstars series was born in the spring of 2016 and is now a firm favourite on the girls’ sporting calendar. The weather has washed out a few games and the dwindling numbers at other clubs has meant for the first time we’ve had to organise internal matches between the BPG girls. We have entered the competitive boys league, played our traditional foes in the girls league and organised friendlies against everyone else. This year we have welcomed more girls than ever before into the Bushy Park Girls family and we are always on the look out for matches for them to play in. A computerised animation of the new pavilion can be found HERE. A huge amount of preparation work has been undertaken by the Pavilion Committee, in conjunction with Jim Reed, our architect. This group has also been working very closely with the Royal Parks and, with their support, will shortly be submitting a planning application for a new pavilion and a new car park (to the side of the 3rd team pitch) with our own entrance through the Clapperstile car park. Their immediate priority is a project is to upgrade the Pavilion infrastructure and enable its wider use by the local community as a hub for not only sporting activities, but for groups to use the facilities for fitness activities beyond the Club’s core sports as a centre for local business people to use as a base companies for training purposes and for social groups including Mothers and Children, OAPs and other interest groups. NPL Sports Club is a multi-sports club based in the heart of Teddington, and as part of its core objectives is seeking to provide a “valuable community, social and sporting facility”. Two of our closest allies are NPL Teddington CC, who host our Under 11 training & matches, and Teddington CC who look after our Under 13s and 15s.īoth theses clubs are currently either trying to improve, or rebuild, their clubhouses.
